Here are examples of my art work. Each of these unique creations are one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art. They are made on a commission basis: meaning, you contact me and let me know that you would like me to create a piece just for you, and I design and create that piece. I can make not only the beaded collars (which are spectacular!) but smaller pieces (like the pin/pendant form, or the butterly hair ornament) or hangable art (like the whale with water). The only limit is your (and my) imagination! I like my client to pick the subject matter, and tell me their favorite colors, then I do all of the designing/research from there. I expect half down at the beginning of the project and the rest upon completion. The price depends on the complexity and size of the design. As you can see, there is a huge range of options.

This unique celtic dragon collar is an example of one-of-a-kind fine art jewelry with style. Ready to be completed for your neck size, so it will fit perfectly! Made with Czech charlotte seed beads in jewel tones (peridot, emerald, deep sapphire, dark topaz, light topaz and ruby) and 22 karat gold plated seed beads, this piece will be the most unique necklace you will ever own. Celtic Swan Knot Collar

This was my first collar. I saw an article in Bead and Button magazine on how to make a beaded collar, and came up with the idea of making a celtic knot for my mom, who is a celtic harpist. She came up with the suggestion of the swan knot, which she assured me would be easy to find (NOT!). Took about 300 hours to make this piece, and I used mostly Japanese seed beads. This collar is worth about $3,000.00.

Ruby-throated Hummingbird Collar

This was my second collar and my first excursion into making my own lines. Here I used the outline of the hummingbird for the collar. The air I did in opposing spirals to capture the movement of the hummingbirds. I also started to do some bead layering. The central flower is two layers of beads, to give it more depth. And I outlined the leaves to make them stand up. This collar would be around $3,000 (materials included).

Winged Pegasus Collar

Here we have a fantasy, celestial theme. It's difficult to see in the picture of this piece, but I have hidden the Pegasus constellation in the Pegasus image (they are individual silver beads). To get the effect of the night sky the way I wanted it, I placed the individual silver beads here and there, and then did expanding circles that intersected to represent the light radiating out from the stars. I thoroughly enjoyed making this piece. I value this piece at $3,000.00.

Medieval Dragon Collar

This was a work of pure love! Containing gem quality lapis, carnelian, 24 karat gold plated seed beads, Czech charlottes, and fimo clay claws, this is the most three dimensional and time intensive piece I have thus far created. Light and easy to wear! This piece would go for around $3500 (plus materials).

Butterfly Hair Piece

This was an original design for a client of mine, He ordered it for his wife as a Christmas present. It took about 40 hours to complete (not counting the design process), and I sold it to him for $300. I also provided a gift box and a hair stick so she could wear it when he gave it to her. It was a huge hit!

Celtic Tree Knot Collar

Now this one was quite fun! I made this for my son's bride (now wife) as a wedding present. She picked the theme (a celtic tree knot, any kind of tree will do, she said), and then I did the research. First, what kind of tree? I decided on the Rowan tree, designed the knot, then added the red crystals (there are earrings to match) to represent the red berries. The leaf form behind the knot is the leaf of the Rowan. This piece was faster, so I value it at $2,500.00.

Celtic Rose Knot Pin/Pendant

Here is my smallest piece to date: a pin/pendant. A client of mine wanted a celtic rose knot that she could wear as either a pin or a pendant on a chain. It was fun to create this, find the exact right shades of rose and pink that I wanted for that perfect effect and design the knot. Took about 20 hours, and I sold this one of a kind unique jewelry piece for $150.00.
